This third MAGIC series workshop will explore interaction issues, interface design and engagement to try and understand better what works on these types of devices. Three experts will be on hand to offer their perspectives, then engage in discussion on issues and opportunities for the local New Media industry.


VIDFEST Mobile Contest Brings the Best in Digital Entertainment to an iPod Near You

The VIDFEST 2006 Content A-Go-Go Mobile Challenge invited digital media creators to upload their podcasts, short films and documentaries, animation, music, and other digital creations.

With every upload, contestants competed to win one of two new 60GB Video iPods, each fully loaded with all the Content A-Go-Go submissions, plus additional amazing content from CBC Zed, CBC Radio3 and VIDFEST.  Each upload is now a part of the iPod Master Playlist and part of every VIDFEST delegate's registration package. Two winners have already been selected. Three additional iPods will be given to the People's Choice winner and to two lucky VIDFEST attendees who participate in the People's Choice voting.
